Due to my busy schedule and the fact that I receive over 300 messages each week, I no longer respond to requests for free advice, consultation, information, or resources.
Please only contact me if you’d like to do one of the following:
• Engage my services as a paid speaker, workshop facilitator, or consultant
• Invite me to give a guest Q&A session for an academic class where my writing has been assigned
• Invite me to contribute to a book, journal, or other publication
• Interview me for a documentary, podcast, magazine article, etc.
• Get a quote from me for an article, news story, etc.
• Ask me to write a promotional blurb for a book or other work
• Invite me to serve on your dissertation or thesis committee
I don’t take psychotherapy clients or coaching clients. If you’re looking for psychotherapy in the state of California, with a highly capable therapist who understands the sort of issues I write about, I recommend my longtime friend and colleague Andrew Reichart.
For virtual speaking engagements my standard honorarium is $3000, though I’m open to negotiating substantial discounts for non-corporate clients with limited financial resources (e.g., university student groups).
For guest Q&A sessions in academic classes where my writing has been assigned, I’ll gladly work within whatever guest lecturer budget is available.
For all in-person engagements outside the immediate San Francisco Bay Area, I require full reimbursement of travel expenses, plus $3000 per diem for overnight travel, in addition to the honorarium.
My consulting rate is $900 per hour for corporations, and $400 per hour for small businesses, small nonprofits, or individual professionals.
The best way to contact me is via email. If you don’t already have my email address, you can find it on my California Institute of Integral Studies faculty bio page.
